Oil companies did not make any changes in the price of petrol and diesel on Wednesday. On the other hand, the price of crude oil in the international market continued to rise for the second consecutive day.According to the website of IndianOil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remains unchanged at Rs 71.94, Rs 74.58, Rs 77.60 and Rs 74.73 per liter respectively.At the same time, the price of diesel in the four metros is also fixed at Rs 64.87, Rs 67.19, Rs 67.98 and Rs 68.50 per liter respectively.A day earlier, petrol prices were again reduced by 16 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while by 17 paise per liter in Chennai. The price of diesel was also reduced by 20 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 21 paise in Mumbai and 22 paise per liter in Chennai.Crude oil prices had been under pressure for the past few days amid fears that the demand for oil might weaken due to the Corona virus outbreak in China. But with the measures taken to prevent the corona virus in China, this apprehension has begun to wane. Due to which the price of oil has returned sharply.On the international futures market, Intercontinental Exchange, ICE, Brent crude was trading at $ 54.94 a barrel, up 1.72 percent from the previous session.
