A day after BJP stormed to power in Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday undertook a victory parade in the national capital.
Amid the presence of thousands of party activists and supporters, Modi, flanked by prominent party leaders, began the march from Le Meridien hotel to the nearby party headquarters on Ashoka Road where the BJP parliamentary board was to meet to decide on the Chief Ministers for the two states.
Top party leaders, including BJP president Amit Shah, were also expected to brainstorm about the future course of action in Goa where the recent polls have resulted in a hung assembly.
Elaborate security arrangements were made by Delhi Police for Modi's victory parade.
