President Pranab Mukherjee presents Padma Awards Last Updated : 13 Apr 2017 12:53:19 PM IST President Pranab Mukherjee conferred Padma Bhushan to Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday conferred the Padma awards at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was awarded the country's second highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan.
Wrestler Sakshi Malik, Gymnast Dipa Karmakar, Paralympian Mariyappan Thangavelu, Discus Thrower Vikas Gowda, Sanjeev Kapoor, Dr Subroto Das, Jitendra Nath Goswami received the Padma Shri from the President.
The President also conferred Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, to Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
The ceremony was attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with other dignitaries.
