Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first one to cast his vote for the Presidential Election 2017.
The election to decide country's 14th President and the successor of Pranab Mukherjee begun on Monday morning.
NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind is pitted against Opposition nominee Meira Kumar and speculations are that Kovind will garner more than 70% of the votes.
Where Meira Kumar is candidate of 18 parties, Kovind has support of 40 parties and if elected, Kovind will be the second Dalit to become President after KR Narayanan.
A total of 95 candidates filed nominations for the top Constitutional post, of which 93 were rejected on various grounds.
There are different ballot paper for MPs and MLAs to cast their vote. Green ballot papers used by the MPs and pink by the MLAs.
The counting will take place on Thursday.
