The CBI on Friday raided the premises of Lalu Prasad Yadav ' title='RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav '>RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family in connection with the irregularities in tenders allotted to a private company for development, maintenance and operation of IRCTC hotels.
CBI is carrying out raids at 12 locations in Delhi, Gurgaon, Ranchi and Puri, including the premises of Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and his son Tejashwi Yadav.
Raids in New Delhi were being conducted in New Friends Colony. In Ranchi the raids are being carried out at Chanakya BNR hotel and in Odisha, raids were carried out at Chanakya BNR Hotel in Puri.
A case has been registered against Lalu Yadav for awarding tender for BNR hotels in Ranchi and Puri when he was a Railway Minister in 2006.
In May, the Income Tax department raided 22 locations of Lalu Yadav in relation to the land and farm houses deal case.
