Prahlad Singh Patel visits National Gallery of Modern Art to review e-auction of mementos gifted to PM Modi

The Union Minister of State, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel visited the ongoing exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art for to review the 3rd round of E-auction of prestigious and memorable gifts presented to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The e-auction is being conducted through web portal www.pmmementos.gov.in from September 17 to October 7, 2021. It covers 1348 gifts and souvenirs.  The souvenirs also include equipments gifted to the Honorable Prime Minister by the winners of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
 
The Minister said that the e-auction provides an opportunity to the general public not only to possess the invaluable memorabilia gifted to the Hon’ble Prime Minister but also for contributing to the cause of preserving the Holy River Ganga. He thanked the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for thisinnovative and noble initiative.
 
 
The items with the highest value in the e-auction are the Javelin used by gold medalist Shri. Sumit Antil in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games and the Javelin used by Shri Neeraj Chopra in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games with the base price at one crore each. P V Sindhu's racket, which unfurled the victory flag at the Olympics, has a base price of Rs 80 lakh. Other interesting artifacts include Ayodhya Ram Temple, Chardham, Rudraksha Convention Centre, models, sculptures, paintings and 
 
The lowest priced item is a small sized decorative elephant for Rs. 200.
 
Importantly, the proceeds from the auction will be spent on namami gange project, a programme initiated for the conservation and rejuvenation of the country's life-giving river Ganga.
