Madhya Pradesh man gets Taj Mahal-like home built for wife in 3 years Last Updated : 22 Nov 2021 11:33:29 PM IST A man gets Taj Mahal-like home built for wife In a strange incident, a resident from Madhya Pradesh presented a replica of the Taj Mahal in Agra to his wife.
Anand Prakash Choksi, a resident of Burhanpur, built a four-room house, similar to the iconic monument, which is also believed by Emperor Shah Jahan to be in love with his wife Mumtaz. Chokse always wondered why the Taj Mahal was not built in his hometown of Burhanpur, as Shah Jahan’s wife Mumtaz had died in that city.Anand Chokse, the man behind the construction, always fancied the marble mausoleum and used to wonder why it was not built in his Burhanpur, the place where Mumtaz breathed her last. This thought drove him to the idea of building a 4-bedroom house that would also be a replica of the Taj Mahal. What started as a thought in 2018 is now complete.According to a report by India Today, the engineer of the house had to study the Taj Mahal before starting the construction. To carve the inside of the house, he sought help from Bengal and Indore-based artisans.Mr Chouksey believes that his house will be a spectacle that no tourist can afford to miss while visiting Burhanpur.According to consulting engineer Praveen Chouksey, the house is spread across 90 square metres with minarets. The basic structure occupies 60 square metres. The dome is 29 feet high and consists of two bedrooms on two floors. The house also has a kitchen, a library and meditation room. The engineer had also visited the Taj Mahal to study it in detail. He also went to Bibi Ka Maqbara, a similar monument in Aurangabad. For Latest Updates Please-
